Debt Restructuring
PMD senior staff have extensive experience with debt restructuring dating from 1975 when the Indonesian Government-owned oil company, Pertamina, defaulted. Principals of PMD were involved in Indonesia prior to the default and were directly involved in the rescheduling effort. Subsequently, PMD Principals represented the Government of Turkey in the rescheduling of the Turkish foreign debt. The Turkish debt restructuring was sufficiently successful that PMD Principals continued to advise the Government on a broad range of financing, investment, project and other matters.
The senior staff of PMD have worked together since the early 1980s on debt restructuring assignments for various Asian, African and Central and South American governments, government agencies and corporations.
PMD offers a comprehensive range of services to public and private creditors and obligors. PMD senior staff have experience in:
